This motorcycle is the street version of the TR5. It is a little earlier so it has the "spring hub" suspension on the back instead of the "swing arm" on the TR5. Both are descendents of the Gran Prix. Since the Gran Prix was not offered in 1952, Triumph offered a speed kit for the Tiger for racing. This bike has some of the speed kit, dual carburetors and "rear sets", foot pegs that are mounted rearward for racing.
